Joseph and his family are found in the 1820 Census of Pee Pee Township, Pike Co., OH. Isabel's parents are unknown, but she is believed to have been born in Ohio in 1791 (though the date places the location in doubt). ![]() At the age of 28, he married there, Isabel Bristol, on November 17, 1814. Joseph was probably born in Mason Co., KY or en route there, on June 10, 1786, a son of Arthur Chenoweth and his first wife, Elizabeth Williams, and moved with his parents when they settled in Ross Co., OH, which later became Pike Co.
